We are looking for an experienced Databricks Solution Architect to join a fast-growing Data & AI consulting organization in Sydney.

? Role

Databricks Solution Architect / Senior Solution Architect

? Experience

• 10+ years of consulting and technology experience
  
• 7+ years in Data Engineering, Data Platforms, or Analytics
  
• 6–8 enterprise Databricks implementations delivered in production
  

? Key Responsibilities

• Design and lead enterprise-scale Data & AI solutions on Databricks Lakehouse
  
• Architect scalable data platforms across AWS, Azure and/or GCP
  
• Lead end-to-end Databricks implementations from discovery to production
  
• Build and optimize data pipelines using Apache Spark, Databricks and Delta Lake
  
• Drive performance tuning, cost optimization and platform scalability
  
• Implement CI/CD, DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code practices
  
• Support MLOps and modern AI workflows
  
• Lead architecture workshops, technical discovery sessions and executive presentations
  
• Work directly with global enterprise customers and senior stakeholders
  
• Mentor engineering teams and drive architecture/governance best practices
  

? Must-Have Skills

• Apache Spark / PySpark
  
• Delta Lake
  
• Enterprise Data Architecture
  
• Cloud platforms – AWS / Azure / GCP
  
• Data Engineering & distributed data platforms
  
• Data governance, security and platform modernization
  
• Strong customer-facing consulting experience
  
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
  
• Databricks Data Engineer Professional Certification – Mandatory
  

? Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related field.
Master's degree preferred.
