Responsibilities:

• Event Setup & Teardown: Assist with setting up and dismantling event spaces according to floor plans, banquet event orders (BEOs), and client requirements. This includes arranging chairs and tables, setting up stages, placing linens, and moving event equipment.
  

• General Maintenance & Cleaning: Perform heavy-duty cleaning and maintenance tasks, including removing large volumes of garbage, cleaning event spaces, assisting with floor care, and keeping work areas clean and organized.
  

• Moving & Material Handling: Move tables, chairs, equipment, supplies, and deliveries throughout the venue. Some assignments may involve lifting and moving heavy items.
  

• Event Support: Provide on-the-fly support during conferences and events, such as adding chairs or tables, assisting with room changes, responding to spills, and helping address other immediate client or venue requests.
  

• General Helper Duties: Assist venue and event staff with various tasks as required to ensure events and daily operations run smoothly.
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Positive and enthusiastic attitude
  

• Availability to work for 1–7 days per week
  

• Ability to work in a team in a fast-paced environment
  

• Physically capable of standing, walking, lifting, and moving equipment for extended periods
  

• Ability to lift and carry heavy items when required
  

• Legally eligible to work in Canada
  

• Experience in general labour, event setup, housekeeping, warehouse, or a similar role is an asset
  

• Experience of at least 12 months preferred
  

• Compensation: $18 per hour
  

Schedule:

• Flexible shifts available – 4, 8, 10, or 12 hours
  

• Morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts may be available
  

• Monday to Friday & weekend availability required
