RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for both domestic and international candidates across hospitals, nursing homes, home care, and community care settings.

We are currently seeking a Registered General Nurse – Day Procedure Unit Theatre for a hospital based in Limerick, Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver non-oncology infusion treatments while continuously monitoring patient condition and response.
  • Provide clear education, guidance, and emotional support to patients and their families regarding procedures and care plans.
  • Recognize and promptly manage adverse reactions, including anaphylaxis and other clinical emergencies.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.
  • Adhere strictly to infection control policies, safety protocols, and best practice standards.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and contribute to quality improvement and service enhancement initiatives.


Requirements

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

  • Minimum of 1 year post-registration nursing experience, preferably within infusion therapy or a related clinical specialty.

  • Demonstrated competence in administering intravenous therapies, including biologic agents, immunoglobulins and iron infusions.

  • Proficient in IV cannulation and venepuncture, with strong knowledge of safe IV therapy practices.

  • Experience in patient education and providing clear guidance on treatment, aftercare and potential side effects.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate, patient-centred approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Knowledge and experience in recognising and managing anaphylaxis and other emergency situations, with the ability to respond appropriately to clinical emergencies.
