What you will be doing:

• Design develop test and maintain Java applications and services
  
• Build scalable microservices and distributed systems using Java and Spring Boot
  
• Develop and enhance Angular applications and user interfaces
  
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and web services
  
• Work with existing enterprise applications and continuously improve them
  
• Contribute to solution design and technical architecture discussions
  
• Apply object oriented design principles and development patterns
  
• Develop secure scalable and high performing solutions
  
• Build integrations using REST SOAP messaging technologies and APIs
  
• Work with technologies including JMS IBM MQ AWS SQS XML and JSON
  
• Support cloud native applications and AWS environments
  
• Help improve application performance monitoring stability and reliability
  
• Write unit integration and automated tests
  
• Contribute to CI CD processes and build management using Git and Gradle
  
• Support production and non production environments and troubleshoot technical issues
  
• Work closely with Business Analysts Solution Architects Testers and Product Owners
  
• Take part in Agile ceremonies story refinement and technical discussions
  
• Share knowledge and mentor other developers at Senior level
  
• Explore new technologies and AI assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality
  

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of software development experience
  
• Strong hands on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular and API development
  
• Experience working with enterprise applications and integrated solutions
  
• Strong understanding of microservices and modern software development practices
  
• Experience contributing to solution design and technical architecture
  
• Experience working in cloud based and modern software engineering environments
  
• Experience with technical initiatives, mentoring and knowledge sharing will be advantageous
  
• Experience within financial services will be advantageous
  
• Investment industry experience will be highly advantageous
  

Qualifications

• A relevant IT Degree or Diploma in Computer Science Information Technology Software Engineering or a related field.
