Direct Message Setter | Chat Sales

About the Role

Disruptive Recruitment is an Australian-based recruitment agency looking for an experienced Direct Message Setter to join our internal team.

You will connect with prospective business clients through direct messages, build conversations, identify recruitment needs and book qualified appointments for our business development team.

This role suits someone with strong written communication skills who can personalise their approach, follow up consistently and turn online conversations into business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and connect with business owners, hiring managers and other relevant decision-makers.
  

• Start personalised conversations through LinkedIn and other approved messaging platforms.
  

• Respond to enquiries and explain our recruitment services clearly.
  

• Ask qualifying questions to understand hiring needs and establish whether our services are a suitable fit.
  

• Book qualified appointments and provide clear handover notes.
  

• Follow up with interested prospects and maintain ongoing conversations.
  

• Update CRM records with contact details, conversation notes and next steps.
  

• Report on outreach activity, responses, qualified leads and appointments booked.
  

• Work towards agreed outreach and appointment-setting targets.
  

Requirements

• Previous experience in direct message setting, chat sales, B2B lead generation or appointment setting.
  

• Excellent written English, spelling and grammar.
  

• Confidence communicating with business owners and senior decision-makers.
  

• Ability to write natural, personalised messages and handle objections professionally.
  

• Experience using a CRM and managing follow-ups.
  

• Good organisation, attention to detail and time management.
  

• Ability to work independently and remain accountable for results.
  

• Your own computer, reliable internet and a suitable remote workspace.
  

• Availability to work 20 hours per week during agreed business hours.
  

Advantageous Experience

• Experience working with Australian or other international clients.
  

• Recruitment agency or professional services sales experience.
  

• LinkedIn prospecting and social selling.
  

• Familiarity with Zoho CRM, GoHighLevel, HubSpot or similar platforms.
