The incumbent transforms mechanical drawings into simple, intuitive graphical interfaces and creates technical drawings in collaboration with automation designers. The position requires creativity, autonomy, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of building mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Based on mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and controller databases, understand and represent a variety of building systems (specifically HVAC and hydronic systems) to produce graphical user interfaces.
  

• Communicate with clients and service teams to improve user interface usability.
  

• Demonstrate creativity in designing new graphical elements to enhance information presentation.
  

• Work independently or in coordination with team members to complete projects quickly within prescribed deadlines.
  

• Understand the use of simple programming logic blocks or scripts to create dynamic data displays and user interactions.
  

Qualifications

• Fluency in French is required (only fluent French speakers will be considered).
  

• Basic knowledge of building mechanical systems (automation systems, HVAC, hydronic networks, etc.).
  

• Proficiency in the design and layout of graphical environments.
  

• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS (asset).
  

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript (asset).
  

• Knowledge of UI/UX design (major asset).
  

• Ability to quickly visualize and implement effective, cost-efficient design solutions.
  

• Experience in 3D modeling/rendering and image editing (Photoshop) — asset.
  

• Strong sense of visual design and understanding of digital design fundamentals.
  

• High attention to detail.
  

• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
  

• Excellent time management skills.
  

• Ability to work independently.
