We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients, a leading U.S.-based forage and alfalfa export company operating within a major Chinese dairy and agriculture group, with an integrated chain covering planting, processing, and international export. The company ranks among the top forage exporters in the United States, supplying markets across China, Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia.
We are looking for a Deputy General Manager of Operations to take overall charge of procurement, production, and international trade, with a clear path to succeed into the General Manager role over the next 3 to 5 years.
𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
🔺 Contribute to the company's strategic business planning, including global market positioning and overall sales strategy
🔺 Own annual business targets and break them down across procurement, production, and overseas trade
🔺 Lead forage procurement from local U.S. grass farmers, building and maintaining a stable supply base while controlling quality, cost, and supply cycle
🔺 Oversee full-chain production and processing operations, including quality control and safety systems across the company's plants
🔺 Develop and manage global sales channels and key customer relationships outside China
🔺 Support the General Manager in optimizing overall company operations across procurement, production, trade, HR, and administration
🔺 Build and lead an integrated team culture across local and Chinese expatriate staff
🔺 Handle special projects, external commercial matters, and other key tasks assigned by senior leadership
𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
🔺 Background with a large state-owned enterprise (e.g. COFCO, Sinochem), an international agriculture/animal husbandry major (e.g. Cargill), a multinational veterinary drug company (e.g. Zoetis), or a large feed enterprise
🔺 Hands-on factory/production management experience is required
🔺 Must hold valid, unrestricted work authorization for the United States (green card, work visa, or talent visa) with no compliance obstacles to starting immediately
🔺 Strong academic background, ideally in international economics/trade or a related field
🔺 Fluent in both Chinese and English (spoken and written), with strong cross-cultural communication skills for negotiating with overseas partners
