Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and personable individual to serve as the primary point of contact for our health care facility, specifically within the eye care sector. In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will manage front-desk operations, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for patients seeking vision services. This position is essential for maintaining efficient clinic workflows, fostering positive patient relationships, and upholding the high standards of care associated with our organization. The ideal applicant will possess a strong foundation in administrative support combined with a genuine interest in the health care industry.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and facilitate the check-in and check-out processes with efficiency and courtesy.
- Manage incoming telephone calls, directing inquiries to appropriate clinical or administrative staff members.
- Maintain accurate patient records and schedule appointments within the eye care management system.
- Handle sensitive patient information with strict adherence to confidentiality and privacy regulations.
- Coordinate logistics for patient visits, including insurance verification and pre-appointment preparations.
- Address patient concerns and questions promptly, escalating complex issues to senior management when necessary.
- Ensure the reception area remains organized, clean, and conducive to a professional environment.
Requirements
Requirements:- Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative support role, preferably within the health care or eye care industry.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency in office management software, scheduling systems, and standard productivity tools.
- Strong organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail in data entry and record keeping.
- Demonstrated capacity to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and patient privacy protocols is highly desirable.
