Altery is looking for a Senior KYB Analyst to join our Financial Crime team and help strengthen our corporate onboarding capability across our international fintech business.
This is a hands-on role for someone experienced in complex corporate KYB within payments, EMI, fintech or digital financial services.
You’ll work with international business customers across different industries, jurisdictions, ownership structures and risk profiles.
We’re looking for someone who can go beyond documentation and checklists, understand how a business actually operates, identify when something doesn’t add up, investigate further and form a clear, risk-based recommendation.

Responsibilities
- 3+ years of hands-on corporate KYB / business CDD experience, with recent experience in an EMI, payments, fintech, digital banking or similar regulated digital financial-services environment.
- Strong experience independently handling complex and higher-risk corporate customers.
- Practical experience analysing corporate structures, ownership and UBOs.
- Strong CDD/EDD experience, including sanctions, PEP and adverse-media screening.
- Experience assessing businesses across different industries, jurisdictions and risk profiles.
- The ability to understand a customer's actual business model, identify inconsistencies and independently investigate beyond the information initially provided.
- Sound risk judgement and the ability to make and clearly explain an evidence-based recommendation.
- Hands-on experience working within EU or UK regulatory frameworks.
- Strong written and spoken English.
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Experience with payment institutions, EMIs, wallets, cards, cross-border payments or embedded financial services.
- Exposure to complex ownership structures, international trade or higher-risk industries.
- Strong Source of Funds / Source of Wealth and enhanced due diligence experience.
- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and customer types.
- Experience improving or automating KYB / Financial Crime processes.
- A pragmatic, business-aware approach to Financial Crime — strong on risk without defaulting to a checklist.
Requirements
- Own end-to-end KYB and corporate due diligence for international business customers.
- Analyse corporate and ownership structures, UBOs, business models and expected activity.
- Handle complex and higher-risk cases across multiple industries and jurisdictions.
- Conduct CDD/EDD, including sanctions, PEP and adverse-media screening and, where relevant, Source of Funds / Source of Wealth analysis.
- Investigate inconsistencies and risk indicators using internal data, external sources and your own judgement.
- Assess risks related to cross-border businesses, international trade, sanctions exposure and other higher-risk activities.
- Produce clear, evidence-based due diligence conclusions and onboarding recommendations.
- Work closely with Compliance and business teams to make onboarding both robust and commercially practical.
- Contribute to improving KYB processes, controls and ways of working, including through automation and AI-enabled tools.
