Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Chief Engineer – Civil to lead and manage civil and structural engineering activities for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and industrial projects.

The candidate should have strong experience in civil and structural design, foundation design, RCC and steel structures, and should be comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural engineering design activities for onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects.
  

• Design and review RCC and steel structures for industrial facilities.
  

• Design foundations for equipment such as vessels, pumps, tanks, and other industrial equipment.
  

• Prepare and review structural calculations, design reports, drawings, and engineering documents.
  

• Perform structural analysis and 3D modelling using STAAD Pro.
  

• Prepare and review design spreadsheets and engineering calculations.
  

• Check and approve civil/structural drawings, calculations, and technical documents.
  

• Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, and other engineering disciplines.
  

• Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, codes, specifications, and regulations.
  

• Provide technical guidance and solutions for complex civil and structural engineering issues.
  

• Stay updated with modern civil/structural engineering practices and apply suitable design methodologies.
  

• Support project execution by providing technical inputs and resolving design-related issues.
  

• Lead, guide, and mentor Engineers, Senior Engineers, and Principal Engineers.
  

• Ensure timely completion and quality of engineering deliverables.
  

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience in Civil & Structural Design.
  

• Experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Hydrocarbon / EPC projects.
  

• Good knowledge of RCC and structural steel design.
  

• Experience in equipment foundation design.
  

• Hands-on experience with STAAD Pro for structural analysis and modelling.
  

• Ability to understand and review engineering drawings and structural calculations.
  

• Good knowledge of relevant civil/structural codes, standards, and project specifications.
  

• Experience working with multiple engineering disciplines.
  

Software Skills

• STAAD Pro – Mandatory
  

• MS Office – Good working knowledge
  

Candidate Profile

• 15–20 years of relevant experience in Civil & Structural Engineering.
  

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute.
  

• Experience in Oil & Gas, Hydrocarbon Consulting, Petrochemical, or EPC Design Engineering.
  

• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
  

• Good English communication skills – written and spoken.
  

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  

• Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
  

• Proven experience in managing and guiding engineering teams.
