Senior Temenos Transact (T24) Upgrade Consultant

Summary

We are recruiting a highly experienced Senior Temenos Transact (T24) Upgrade Consultant to spearhead a critical, large-scale migration initiative transitioning the system from version R1x to R25 TAFJ. This pivotal role encompasses the full lifecycle of the upgrade, including comprehensive impact analysis, remediation strategy governance, and the assessment of customization effects. The successful candidate will ensure seamless implementation readiness and provide essential stabilization support post-deployment. Success in this position demands profound expertise in Temenos architectural frameworks, established upgrade methodologies, and the technical intricacies of various Transact modules.

Responsibilities

• Direct all end-to-end upgrade activities for the transition from R1x to R25 TAFJ.
  
• Execute detailed impact assessments to pinpoint necessary remediation steps for existing local developments and customizations.
  
• Evaluate and rectify affected system components, including version routines, EB APIs, Java routines, user enquiries, browser interfaces, OFS connections, batch processing jobs, reports, and integration points.
  
• Address and resolve Level 3 (L3) customizations to guarantee full alignment with R25 architectural standards.
  
• Assist functional and technical teams throughout the phases of code remediation, rigorous testing, deployment, and the stabilization period following the upgrade.
  
• Perform thorough code reviews and offer strategic recommendations to ensure adherence to Temenos best practices.
  
• Partner with infrastructure, cloud, and application engineering groups to facilitate migration and modernization efforts.
  
• Engage in strategic planning workshops, design evaluations, defect triage sessions, and production readiness reviews.
  
• Provide mentorship and technical direction to junior consultants across the entire upgrade lifecycle.
  
• Generate essential technical documentation, including upgrade runbooks, remediation logs, and implementation guidance.
  

Requirements

• Possess over 10 years of professional experience in Temenos Transact implementation, customization, support, or upgrade engagements.
  
• Demonstrate mandatory participation in at least one major Transact upgrade project, ideally involving a transition from R1x, R17, or R18 to R24 or R25.
  
• Exhibit a robust grasp of Temenos upgrade methodologies, associated tools, and remediation workflows.
  
• Hold deep technical proficiency in TAFJ architecture and Java-based development within the Transact environment.
  
• Bring extensive hands-on experience with L3 customizations, local developments, routines, APIs, enquiries, versioning, services, batch processing, and system integrations.
  
• Show proven capability in post-go-live support, including defect triage, production issue analysis, and stabilization tasks.
  
• Maintain familiarity with platform capabilities such as AA, TPH, and IRIS.
  
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills in troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud-native environments, including OCI, Azure, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and Linux/Unix systems.
  

Preferred Certifications / Training

• Holding a Temenos Upgrade Certification or Temenos Transact Technical Certification is highly advantageous.
