Bookkeeper (Australia - Remote) (AO-14165)

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a senior, skilled, experienced full-time or part-time

bookkeeper with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with Australian
Bookkeeping (based in the Philippines with Superior English Language Skills).
Preferably accounting degree qualified. You will be working under the
supervision of Senior local staff. Please note this is NOT an accounts role, this is a
senior bookkeeping role and only highly skilled individuals should apply. Our
organisation takes great pride in ensuring clients' books are always up-to-date,
accurate and professionally monitored.

Job Responsibilities:
● End to end bookkeeping functions using Xero & Hubdoc/MYOB
● Processing in or using other software as required (deputy, service m8)
● Catch Up Bookkeeping
● BAS preparation and review
● Monthly and quarterly accounts reconciliation
● Experience in project work a bonus
● Payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
● Balance Sheet reconciliation
● Profit and Loss reviews
● Practice management and administration duties also required

● No moonlighting, this is a full-time job, you cannot service clients outside
our practice (you'll work solely for us & be 100% focused around our
practice)
● A minimum 2 years senior bookkeeping experience is required
● Accounting or Bookkeeping Qualification
● Advanced Computer Skills including MS Office plus a love of software &
technology
● A minimum 2 years Xero experience
● MYOB & QBO Skills an advantage
● Advanced Touch Typing (on home keys)
● Advanced Keypad Data Entry Speed and Proficiency
● Intermediate to Advanced Payroll skills
● National Crime Check (or willingness to obtain one)
● References from your last 5 years of employment
● Fully work from home

Requirements

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of Australian bookkeeping experience.
  

• Strong knowledge of Australian GST, BAS, payroll and ATO requirements.
  

• Proficiency in Xero; MYOB experience and additional bookkeeping softwares.
  

• BAS Agent eligibility is highly desirable.
  

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  

• Strong communication and client-service skills.
  

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients.
  

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is highly regarded.
