Construction Manager (Con-M) – Future Opportunities

Location: Copenhagen area

Solvexis is looking to connect with experienced Construction Managers for potential future project assignments in the Copenhagen area. This is a general recruitment search; specific projects, locations, start dates, and responsibilities will be confirmed as opportunities arise.

We welcome candidates with experience in overall construction management as well as those with a particular technical specialty, such as HVAC, electrical installations, mechanical installations, piping, civil works, or site supervision.

Overall Purpose

As Construction Manager, you will lead and coordinate construction activities across multiple disciplines or within your area of expertise, depending on the assignment.

You will help ensure that work progresses safely, efficiently, and to the required quality, while coordinating contractors, supervisors, and project stakeholders. With a practical approach to constructability and site delivery, you will support the project from construction planning through installation, completion, and handover.

Key Responsibilities

The scope will depend on the project and your technical specialty. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Develop, maintain, and follow up on construction schedules in collaboration with planning and project teams.

  • Coordinate daily and weekly construction activities across disciplines or within an assigned work package.

  • Implement project HSE requirements within your scope and follow up on safe working practices, applicable requirements, and site procedures.

  • Lead coordination meetings with contractors, supervisors, and site teams to align priorities and resolve issues.

  • Coordinate site logistics, access, lifting activities, installation equipment, and work areas with the relevant teams.

  • Contribute to constructability reviews and identify practical, safe, and efficient construction methods.

  • Monitor contractor progress, quality, and resource availability, and address deviations with the responsible project stakeholders.

  • Identify interfaces, dependencies, and potential clashes between disciplines and coordinate their resolution.

  • Report progress, risks, schedule deviations, and resource or cost implications to project or site management.

  • Coordinate construction completion, outstanding work, and readiness for commissioning and handover.

  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to improvements across projects.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Relevant technical education, trade background, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Several years of experience in construction management, site management, discipline management, or a comparable supervisory role.

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating contractors and managing construction activities within your technical specialty or across multiple disciplines.

  • Working knowledge of HSE requirements and experience applying them in a construction environment.

  • Experience managing schedules, work sequencing, and interfaces between contractors.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage contractors, supervisors, and project stakeholders.

  • Ability to identify risks early, resolve site issues, and propose practical solutions.

  • A structured, proactive, and hands-on approach to planning and follow-up.

  • Fluent English. Danish is an advantage; language requirements may vary by assignment.

Describe Your Technical Specialty

Please clearly describe your specialty in your application and CV. Relevant areas may include:

  • HVAC: Ventilation, heating, cooling, ductwork, and associated installations.

  • Electrical / E&I: Electrical installations, power distribution, instrumentation, controls, and related coordination.

  • Mechanical / Piping: Mechanical equipment, process or utility piping, and installation coordination.

  • Civil / Structural: Groundworks, foundations, concrete, steel structures, and building works.

  • Site Supervision: Contractor supervision, workforce coordination, quality follow-up, and daily site execution.

  • Multidisciplinary Construction Management: Overall coordination of several construction disciplines and their interfaces.

You do not need experience in every area. Please specify:

  • Your primary and any secondary technical specialties.

  • The types of projects and installations you have worked on.

  • Your level of responsibility—for example, overall Construction Manager, discipline lead, work package manager, or site supervisor.

  • The scale of the activities, contractor teams, or work packages you have managed.

  • Your availability and willingness to work in the Copenhagen area or travel to other locations.

Interested?

Send us your CV and a brief description of your relevant experience, technical specialties, and availability. We will use this information to assess your suitability for future assignments and contact you when a relevant opportunity arises.
