Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for experienced African and Caribbean professionals currently based in New York or within travelling distance of New York who can physically attend the Recruitment Summit on 21 September.

Successful candidates should demonstrate:

• African or Caribbean nationality and a strong interest in advancing trade, industrialisation and economic development across Africa and the Caribbean.
  

• Typically 5–15 years’ relevant experience, with strong technical capability, leadership potential and commercial orientation.
  

• Relevant academic qualifications in Finance, Economics, Business, Law, International Trade, Technology, Engineering or related disciplines.
  

• Strong professional experience within banking, development finance, investment, industry, technology, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, infrastructure or commercial development.
  

• Experience mobilising capital, developing partnerships, scaling businesses or operating across markets would be particularly relevant.
  

• International, emerging-market, African or Caribbean market experience would be advantageous.
  

• Fluency in English is required. Additional proficiency in French, Portuguese or Arabic is highly desirable.
  

• Willingness to relocate across Africa or the Caribbean depending on future career opportunities.
  

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend in-person half-day sessions in New York, including engagement with Afreximbank leadership and senior recruitment representatives, a strategic presentation, networking and an individual interview.
