We are seeking a Radiology Technician at the NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, TX.

What You’ll Do:

Radiology Technologist performs routine and complex studies and assists physician in a variety of imaging procedures. Responsible for the independent operation of diagnostic equipment to create necessary images and obtain measurements. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning technique. Communicates with the patient and relays any pertinent information to the physician and documents appropriately. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures.

• Responsible for compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental plan; must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the Company's safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel
  
• Responsible for compliance with the Quality Assurance Plan, policies and procedures
  
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance level as determined by the Company
  
• Responsible for completing all assigned training
  
• Become proficient in standard protocols and specialized protocols for unique requirements including ability to train others in a unique environment

What You Bring:

Strong clinical judgment and experience in radiology to execute independent operation of diagnostic equipment to create necessary images and obtain measurements

Requirements

Required Skills/Training:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology Technologist
  
• 3-5-year experience in performing radiology procedures preferred
  
• Required to maintain Basic BLS from an AHA provider
  
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
  
• Other imaging abilities are a plus
  

What to Expect

This position is expected to support radiology as needed to fill in for X-ray technologist when vacations or other lost work time events occur.   Most needs will be communicated well in advance of the event.
