Role Overview

The Senior Manager – Operations will play a central role in enabling the organization to operate with efficiency, scale, and sustainability. Based in the Mumbai office, this role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a focus on data management, technology integration, reporting, and workflow optimization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about using operational excellence to advance the mission of a global non-profit organization.

Key Responsibilities

1.    Data Management & Analysis

• Oversee the collection, organization, and secure storage of institutional data (training programs, participants, partners, impact metrics, etc.)
• Develop dashboards, trackers, and reports to support decision-making across teams
• Ensure data integrity, compliance, and accessibility for internal and external reporting

2.    Technology Integration & Platform Management

• Manage and optimize digital platforms (Membership Platform/CRM, LMS, project management tools, databases, etc.)
• Scout, evaluate, and integrate digital tools to streamline workflows and scale operations
• Act as the point person for troubleshooting and vendor coordination

3.    Process Design & Optimization

• Develop, document, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across functions
• Establish and monitor workflows for cross-team collaboration, ensuring accountability and adherence to timelines
• Identify gaps and continuously improve operational efficiency

4.    Reporting & Impact Tracking

• Support the design and production of institutional reports, impact dashboards, impact reports, etc.
• Track progress of initiatives against organizational goals and KPIs

5.    Resource Optimization

• Research and secure tools, software, and services to optimize organizational resources
• Support budget planning and monitoring of operational expenditures

6.    Team Management & Collaboration

• Lead and mentor a small operations support team
• Collaborate with program, partnerships, and communications teams to enable smooth execution of initiatives
• Serve as a cross-functional connector ensuring operational alignment

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Operations/Business/Technology preferred
• 8-10 years of experience in operations, project management, or systems management
• Strong proficiency with digital platforms (CRM, Event platforms, LMS, data analysis tools, project management software)
• Demonstrated ability to create SOPs, manage workflows, and implement scalable systems
• Analytical mindset with experience in data visualization and reporting
• Experience in vendor management and team supervision
• Familiarity with nonprofit technology discounts/grants (Google, Hubspot, Zoho, Microsoft, etc.) is a plus
