Keystone Education Group runs educations.com, a global marketplace that helps students find and compare study programs. The site has hundreds of thousands of URLs in several languages, built on Next.js with Sanity as a headless CMS and served through AWS CloudFront.

This role owns the technical side of search at that scale: how the site is crawled, rendered and indexed, how templates behave across hundreds of thousands of pages, and how we move content safely when sites are consolidated. Over the coming period that likely includes folding other Keystone domains into educations.com.

You’ll work with the Head of SEO, Product and Engineering, and ship changes with the development teams.

💼 Role: Technical SEO Specialist

What You'll Do:

Own crawl, indexation and rendering behaviour across 100k+ URLs and several languages.

• Analyse server logs at scale (CloudFront) to find crawl waste, and act on it through robots rules, faceted navigation, pagination and parameter handling.
• Define template-level technical requirements (canonicals, hreflang, structured data, internal linking logic) and ship them with Engineering.
• Plan and run migrations and domain consolidations end to end: redirect mapping and validation at 100k+ URL scale, launch checks and monitoring afterwards.
• Work with large data sets (Search Console in BigQuery, logs, crawl exports) to find and size problems before fixing them.
• Track and improve visibility in AI answers: crawler access, structured data, citation monitoring.
• Build tooling and automation with AI coding agents so recurring checks run on their own.
• Write tickets and specs Engineering can pick up without back-and-forth.

Experience & qualifications

Must have

• 4+ years of hands-on technical SEO on sites with 100k+ URLs, with results you can show.
• SQL and Python, used on data sets of millions of rows.
• Log file analysis that led to real changes on a site.
• Has run at least one large migration or domain consolidation, merging one site into another.
• Hreflang and international site architecture.
• Reads modern JavaScript framework code (Next.js or similar) and is comfortable working in pull requests.
• At least one tool or analysis built with AI that you can walk us through: what it did, the time it saved, and how you checked the output.

Desired

• AWS (CloudFront, Athena) and Vercel.
• Headless CMS experience, Sanity in particular.
• Education, marketplace or other large listings sites.
• Crawling at scale with Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Oncrawl or your own tools.

How we assess

• Practical task: a week of Googlebot logs and a Search Console export for one section. Find the three biggest crawl waste problems, size them, and write the fix as a ticket Engineering could pick up.
• Walkthrough of a migration or consolidation you ran: scale, approach, what went wrong and how you caught it.
