Mechanical Foreman Plumber

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Foreman Plumber to lead plumbing operations across commercial and mechanical projects. This role is responsible for supervising plumbing crews, coordinating with other trades, ensuring quality and safety standards, and interpreting mechanical drawings and project specifications.

The successful candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise plumbing crews on commercial and mechanical projects.
• Plan and coordinate daily plumbing activities and ensure projects remain on schedule.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and project plans to ensure accurate installations.
• Ensure all plumbing work meets applicable quality standards, codes, and project specifications.
• Install, maintain, and repair water supply lines, drainage systems, and related plumbing infrastructure.
• Oversee upgrades, installations, and maintenance of hydronic systems and heat pumps.
• Coordinate plumbing activities with other trades, contractors, and project teams.
• Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during installation and construction.
• Enforce company safety policies, procedures, and applicable workplace regulations.
• Inspect completed work and ensure deficiencies are addressed promptly.
• Mentor, train, and provide guidance to apprentices and journeypersons.
• Manage plumbing operations and crews at remote project locations when required.
• Maintain effective communication with project managers, supervisors, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Valid Red Seal Certification in Plumbing or Steam fitting.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Foreman or Supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, mechanical systems, and construction practices.
• Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate apprentices and journeypersons.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple trades and project teams.
• Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License with a good driving record.
• Willingness and ability to work at remote locations when required.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
