Joinery Cost Estimator

Black & Grey HR is hiring for a leading sustainable building materials manufacturer in the UAE. The company is at the forefront of innovation, producing eco-friendly building materials that support greener construction and interior fit-out solutions. 
Our client is looking for an experienced Joinery Cost Estimator with strong expertise in the UAE joinery industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of custom joinery works, including doors, cabinetry, furniture, wall paneling, and other bespoke woodwork. This role requires excellent knowledge of UAE market pricing, suppliers, materials, manufacturing processes, and cost analysis.
Key Responsibilities

- Review tender documents, drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements to understand the complete scope of work.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from architectural and shop drawings.
- Develop accurate cost estimates covering materials, manpower, hardware, machinery, production, subcontracting, logistics, and other associated costs.
- Prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and detailed cost breakdowns.
- Analyze technical specifications and recommend cost-effective joinery solutions while maintaining quality standards
- Evaluate commercial and technical requirements, identifying clarifications, exclusions, assumptions, and potential cost impacts.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive quotations and maintain updated pricing.
- Maintain and regularly update cost databases, supplier information, and historical project costing records.
- Support tender submissions by ensuring estimates are accurate, competitive, and submitted within deadlines.

Requirements

- 2+ years of experience in Joinery Cost Estimation within the UAE.
- Strong experience estimating a broad range of joinery works, not limited to doors
- Excellent understanding of joinery materials, hardware, manufacturing methods, and installation processes.
-  Sound knowledge of UAE market pricing, suppliers, subcontractors, and procurement practices.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and joinery drawings accurately.
- Experience preparing detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, and commercial cost estimates.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimation software is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
