Position Overview

We are seeking a high-integrity, growth-minded General Manager / General Contractor (GM/GC) to lead and scale our New London operations.

In this dual role, you will be the operational backbone and legal qualifier for our business in Florida. You will oversee daily operations, manage project schedules, conduct on-site estimations, and manage both internal W-2 craftsmen and vetted subcontractors. Key Responsibilities

1. Business Licensing & Compliance

• Serve as the primary General Contractor.
  

• Ensure all job sites, field operations, and subcontractor projects strictly comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and state requirements.
  

2. Field Leadership & Project Management

• Oversee day-to-day field execution across home repairs, membership care visits, and major remodeling projects.
  

• Scope, estimate, and present clear, itemized quotes to prospective clients on-site.
  

• Manage project timelines, calendar schedules, material procurement, and labor allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  

• Oversee and quality-check the work of W-2 craftsmen and specialized subcontractors.
  

3. Business Acumen & Operations

• Manage gross margins, job profitability, labor ratios, and project costs.
  

• Utilize tech tools and software for estimation, scheduling, dispatching, and customer communications.
  

• Maintain high organizational standards across project calendars, material orders, and client updates.
  

4. Customer Experience & Brand Hospitality

• Deliver a 5-star, white-glove client experience driven by courtesy, active listening, and clear communication.
  

• Walk job sites with homeowners, address unexpected discoveries promptly, and perform final quality walkthroughs.
  

• Represent the core Monty’s values: show up on time, communicate clearly, and leave the home cleaner than you found it.
  

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in project management, estimating, and leadership within residential construction, remodeling, or trades.
  

• Financial Literacy: Strong understanding of gross margins, job costing, and operational profitability.
  

• Punctuality & Communication: Absolute commitment to timeliness, clear proactive communication, and zero no-shows.
  

• Technology Proficiency: Comfortable adopting mobile tech and software for scheduling, quotes, and CRM management.
  

• Background Requirements: Must possess a clean driving record and successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
  

Compensation & Perks

• Base Salary: $65,000 – $68,000 / year (depending on experience)
  

• Commission & Bonus Incentive Structure:
  

  • General Sales Tiers (Monthly):
    

    • $0 – $45k gross revenue: 2%
      

    • $45k – $85k gross revenue: 4%
      

    • Over $85k gross revenue: 6%
      

  • Self-Generated GC Leads (SGL): 8% – 10% gross commission on self-generated GC sales (excluded from standard tier calculations).
    

• Vehicle Allowance: $500/month car stipend or access to a company vehicle.
