Quick Accounts
Client Accounting + Operations Manager
Posted Sep 25, 2026
WHO WE ARE
Quick Accounts is a boutique accounting and advisory firm built around the creative needs of interior design firms. We manage a select roster of clients, providing a range of services including bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax, cash flow planning, and the operational problem-solving that inevitably comes with a firm’s growth.
We’re not a buttoned-up, hierarchical accounting firm and don’t aspire to be one. We’re a fully remote, collaborative team who cares deeply about excellent work without creating unnecessary stress or drama.
We appreciate initiative and discernment, along with genuine curiosity in how we approach the work. If something happens to go sideways, we improve the process and move on. The result is a firm culture of high standards, low ego, and plenty of room to contribute, enjoy our work, and grow this business together.
WHO YOU ARE
We’re looking for an experienced accounting and operations professional who gets real satisfaction from building trusted client relationships and helping businesses navigate financial and operational growth. You’re as solid inside the day-to-day execution of the work as you are untangling a new wrinkle and turning client messes into clear processes. You assess the larger business picture in how you expertly advise clients while also keeping the team on track.
You’ll work alongside the owner and two senior-level bookkeepers, overseeing client accounts while keeping an eye out for thoughtful changes that have real impact. That could mean researching a new multi-state sales tax issue, improving our onboarding process, building an SOP for a new compliance process, or advising a client through an operational change.
We’re looking for someone curious, capable, and entrepreneurial - who likes having room to think, build, and take ownership. If you’ve ever thought, “Just give it to me, I’ll figure it out,” you may be exactly who we’re looking for.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Working closely with growing luxury residential design firms, typically ranging from $300K to $5M in revenue, helping them navigate financial and operational complexities
- Supporting senior bookkeepers by acting as a second, more experienced set of eyes on client work - reviewing bookkeeper output and maintaining a firmwide view of open work and deadlines
- Proactively following up on open items and flagging what needs to be prioritized
- Taking ownership on special projects from end to end, from research, to setup, client communication, and building systems that run cleanly without you
- Implementing new client processes, including multi-state sales tax requirements, registrations, and operational processes
- Managing new clients from initial onboarding through to bookkeeper handoff
- Building and improving SOPs, workflows, templates, and internal processes with an eye toward continuous improvement, not just documentation
- Advising clients on operational and HR matters, including payroll structure, employee classification, time tracking, PTO, benefits, compliance, and evolving business needs
- Opportunity to help streamline firm operations through technology, automation, and AI
WHAT YOU’VE ALREADY GOT
- Experience with Studio Designer strongly preferred and would be a significant advantage in considering you for this role
- Strong experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or professional services operations, ideally client-facing
- Comfortable balancing advisory-level thinking with detailed, hands-on execution on a day-to-day basis
- Experience advising clients on payroll and HR matters and handling situations that fall outside a documented playbookStrong problem-solving skills - when something's off, you're already forming a hypothesis, not just reporting the symptom
- Comfortable telling a client what they actually need, even when it's not what they asked for
- Quick to learn new software, comfortable becoming the in-house expert on our tools
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through, with sound judgment around sensitive client information
- Experience building SOPs, workflows, templates, or internal documentation is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Curiosity about technology, automation, process improvement, and AI
- Experience with Karbon or the interior design industry a plus
WHAT WE GIVE
- Annual salary: $90,000-110,000 commensurate with experience
- 401(k) plan with safe harbor match
- Health insurance flexibility, with coverage options open for discussion based on individual needs
- A fully remote work environment with flexibility to structure your schedule around early mornings, evenings, or family commitments, as long as client and team needs are met
- Growth opportunities as the firm continues to evolve
If you’re not exactly qualified for this position, please feel free to complete this application anyway. Doing so will help us keep you in mind for future opportunities that align with your skill set and experience. We assess our applicants based on the entire package of who you are, not just the contents of your resume.
