Your day is varied, structured, and rooted in collaboration. As an NM working in LTC, you will:

• Complete Resident nutritional assessments including new admission, quarterlies, and annuals
  
• Visit and monitor Residents during meal time
  
• Manage and maintain the Food & Nutrition department
  
• Ensure Residents' nutritional care needs are met
  
• Coordinate the purchase of food, supplies, and equipment
  
• Conduct monthly food inventory
  
• Manage the established budget
  
• Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation procedures
  
• Consult with Dietitian on nutritional matters
  

Requirements

• CSNM (Canadian Society of Nutrition Managers) Membership required
  
• Must have proof of COVID vaccine, TB testing, and vulnerable sector police check
  
• Preference will be given to applicants with experience in Long-Term Care
  
• Ability to work independently/self-directed
  
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
  
• Demonstrates an ability to problem solve
  
• Good verbal and written communication skills
  
• Knowledge of computerized long-term care documentation programs an asset
  
• Travel may be required with some positions
