Vacancy: Experienced Field Guide
An established safari lodge located in the Hoedspruit region is seeking a professional, reliable, and experienced Field Guide to join our team.
Key Responsibilities

• Conducting standard game drives for lodge guests.
  
• Handling guest transfers to and from various destinations.
  
• Driving a Toyota Quantum for long-distance day trips and excursions to major attractions, including Kruger National Park, Blyde River Canyon, Maholoholo, and Blyde Boat tours.
  

Requirements

Requirements and Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 to 3 years of active field guiding experience.
  
• A valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
  
• Proven experience driving a Toyota Quantum or similar large passenger vehicle.
  
• Strong communication skills and a passion for guest hospitality.

Package and Benefits

• Salary: R10,000 – R12,000 per month, commensurate with experience.
  
• Accommodation: Individual housing on-site with your own private bathroom.
  
• Meals: Provided daily at the lodge.
  
• Gratuities: Guides retain direct tips from guests. Tips received through the office are distributed equally among the driving team.
  

Work Roster and Off Days

• 7 days off per month, structured as 2 to 3 days off at a time. This format provides regular opportunities to attend social functions or manage personal planning, provided adequate notice is given to management.
