Sproxil is a technology company delivering trusted data, product authentication, and market intelligence across healthcare and consumer goods. In Nigeria we partner with donor agencies, government, non governmental organisations, and manufacturers to design and run large scale, technology enabled public health, malaria, and supply chain data programmes.
Our programmes run concurrently across multiple states and pull together digital verification channels, call centre operations, field teams, analytics, and regulators. The work is operationally demanding and highly visible, and the data it produces informs decisions taken at national level.

Why this role exists
Our project portfolio has grown faster than the structure around it. We need a single owner who can hold multiple concurrent programmes to plan, budget, and donor commitments at once, so that delivery quality does not depend on individual heroics. This is a build role as much as a run role: you will inherit live projects and be expected to leave behind stronger delivery systems than you found.

Role summary
The Program Manager takes end to end ownership of donor funded, grant supported, and private sector projects across Nigeria, with a strong focus on public health, data collection, and digital delivery.
This is a role for a seasoned operator who can run complex multi state programmes, hold their own in front of donors, government agencies, and partners, and land every project on time, on budget, and fully compliant.

Key responsibilities
1. Programme and grant management

•  Translate grant agreements, log-frames, and donor workplans into execution roadmaps with named owners, sequenced milestones, and dated deliverables.
  
• Run multi state roll-outs end to end, covering pilot design, scale up, and national deployment.
  
•  Maintain a live risk register and issue log for every project, with mitigations assigned and tracked to closure.
  

2. Budget, compliance, and reporting 

• Own project budgets, burn rates, and forecasts, and flag variance against plan before it becomes a donor conversation.
  
• Track delivery against grant indicators, targets, and timelines, and escalate slippage early with a recovery plan attached.
  
• Produce donor reports covering narrative, financial, and monitoring and evaluation inputs, working with finance and analytics.
  
•  Keep projects audit ready at all times: procurement records, sub award documentation, field payment evidence, and approvals filed as work happens rather than at reporting time.
  
• Manage no cost extensions, budget realignments, and modification requests through to donor approval. 
  

3. Stakeholder and partner management

• Act as the primary interface with donor agencies, implementing partners, government stakeholders including NAFDAC, NMEP, NPHCDA, and state ministries of health, and with vendors.
  
•  Coordinate cross functional delivery across call centre operations, field officers, data analysts, product, and engineering, without formal authority over every team involved.
  
• Contract and manage third party vendors, consultants, and field partners, including scope, performance, and payment milestones.
  
• Represent Sproxil in technical working groups, review meetings, and stakeholder engagements.
  

4. Operational execution

•  Oversee field operations, training programmes, call centre based surveys, and digital data collection workflows.
  
• Identify operational risk early, particularly around field access, enumerator performance, and seasonal constraints, and put mitigations in place before delivery is affected.
  
• Protect data quality end to end, from instrument design and enumerator training through to validation checks and data quality assessments.
  
•  Ensure respondent consent, data handling, and record retention meet the Nigeria Data Protection Act and donor requirements.
  
•  Run clean handoffs between field, call centre, analytics, and client facing teams.
  

5. Monitoring, learning, and growth

• Work with analytics and monitoring and evaluation colleagues to track performance, surface insight, and capture lessons learned.
  
• Improve delivery models, tools, templates, and standard operating procedures so each project starts further ahead than the last.
  
• Contribute to proposals, concept notes, and scale up strategies, including workplans, budgets, and delivery narratives.
  

What success looks like

•  Full command of the active portfolio: scope, budget position, indicator status, and reporting calendar for every live project.
  
• Relationships established with donor contacts, government counterparts, and internal delivery leads.
  
•  A single consolidated delivery tracker in place across all projects, replacing project by project reporting.
  

First 12 months
• Projects delivered on time, within budget, and fully compliant, with no material audit or donor findings.
• Donor confidence strong enough to convert into follow on funding or scope extension.
• Reporting turned around on schedule and accepted without rework.
• Delivery standards documented and adopted, so a new project can be stood up quickly and consistently.

Requirements

Qualifications and experience
Essential

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in project management, public health, social sciences, engineering, business management, or a related field.
  
• Seven or more years managing complex projects, including at least three years on donor funded, grant supported, or social enterprise programmes.
  
• Demonstrated delivery of multi state or national level projects in Nigeria.
  
•  Strong command of grant compliance, budgeting, reporting, and donor expectations.
  
• Proven ability to lead cross functional teams and manage external stakeholders.
  
•  Excellent written and verbal communication, including donor grade report writing.
  
•  Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Nigeria.
  

Highly desirable

•  PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent project management certification.
  
•  Experience with major international funders, for example the Gates Foundation, the Global Fund, USAID, FCDO, or United Nations agencies.
  
• Background in public health, malaria programmes, household or facility surveys, monitoring and evaluation, or digital data collection.
  
•  Familiarity with computer assisted telephone interviewing, field surveys, dashboards, or large scale data operations.
  
• Working experience with Nigerian government agencies or regulators.
  
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline.

• Multi project fluency. Holds several concurrent programmes without letting the quiet one drift.
