Road Design Engineer

• Lead the planning, design, and development of roads, highways, interchanges, intersections, and related transportation infrastructure projects. • Prepare and review geometric road designs, alignments, profiles, cross-sections, and corridor models. • Develop and review pavement designs, design calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings. • Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design activities involving drainage, utilities, structures, traffic, and landscape disciplines. • Ensure all designs comply with local authority requirements, international standards, and project specifications. • Conduct design reviews, value engineering studies, and constructability assessments. • Review survey data, traffic studies, and engineering reports to develop effective design solutions. • Liaise with clients, government authorities, contractors, and stakeholders throughout project development and approval processes. • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely project delivery. • Review and approve technical submissions, design deliverables, and authority approval documents. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, designers, and CAD technicians. • Support business development activities, including proposal preparation and technical presentations.

• Extensive knowledge of road geometric design principles and transportation engineering practices. • Proficiency in Civil 3D, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar design software. • Strong understanding of AASHTO, DMRB, DMRB UAE, RTA, DM, and other relevant road design standards. • Experience in authority approvals and coordination with government agencies. • Strong leadership, project management, and team coordination skills. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. • Strong communication, technical writing, and presentation skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
