We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Associate to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounts payable (AP) and general ledger (GL) functions, with the ability to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

💼 Role: Accounting Associate - AP & GL

What You'll Do:

📑 Process supplier invoices, ensuring correct approvals, coding, and VAT treatment.

📊 Maintain vendor records and handle supplier queries promptly and professionally.

🧾 Administer approval workflows for orders and approvals.

🔍 Prepare payment runs for review and approval.

🤝 Manage employee expense claims, liaising with employees and line managers on anomalies.

📈 Ensure all bank transactions are reconciled and supported with documentation.

📑 Assist with other supplier-related ad hoc tasks.

📊 Manage subscription/contracts tracking.

🧾 Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.

🔍 End-of-month and end-of-year closing procedures and reconciliations.

🤝 Comply with IFRS for bookkeeping and financial statements.

📈 Assist in maintaining robust financial controls by ensuring compliance with organizational guidelines and procedures, and government regulations.

📑 Annual accounts audits and general ledger preparation and assistance.

What We're Looking For:

✅ Accounting, business administration of finance bachelor’s degree

✅ Proficiency in English

✅ Knowledge of accounting, economics, and financial principles

✅ Strong quantitative skills

✅ Thoroughness, attention to detail, and organizational skills

✅ Process-driven

✅ Critical thinking

✅ Confidentiality and discretion

✅ Experience with EU VAT legislations and processes is a plus, particularly Sweden

✅ Knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite is a plus
