Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our healthcare team, where you will play a vital role in assessing visual health and ensuring patient well-being. This position focuses on delivering high-quality eye care services, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to evaluate vision and ocular conditions. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong interpersonal abilities to provide comprehensive eye examinations and effective patient counseling, contributing significantly to the overall success of our clinical operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough vision assessments and eye examinations using specialized equipment such as autorefractometers and slit lamps.
- Perform precise refraction and retinoscopy procedures to determine accurate corrective lens prescriptions.
- Execute applanation tonometry and fundus photography to monitor intraocular pressure and retinal health.
- Utilize A-Scan and keratometry techniques to gather essential biometric data for contact lens fitting and surgical planning.
- Administer and interpret Humphrey Visual Field (HVF) tests to detect and monitor visual field defects.
- Provide clear, empathetic counseling to patients regarding their diagnosis, treatment options, and vision care strategies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all clinical procedures adhere to established safety and hygiene protocols.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 0 to 1 year of hands-on experience in an optometry or healthcare setting.
- Demonstrate proficiency with key instruments including autorefractometers, slit lamps, applanation tonometers, and fundus cameras.
- Show strong competence in clinical techniques such as refraction, retinoscopy, A-Scan, and keratometry.
- Have practical experience conducting HVF tests and RT tests for visual field analysis.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex eye conditions to patients effectively.
- Display a solid understanding of vision care principles and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient service.
- Hold relevant qualifications in optometry or a related field, with a focus on practical application of skills.
