TRUST ADMINISTRATOR
Cape Town | Permanent | Full-Time | Hybrid
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Trust Administrator to join a professional fiduciary services environment and take responsibility for the day-to-day administration of an allocated portfolio of approximately 70 trusts.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a highly organised, detail-driven and client-focused Trust Administrator to support a dedicated Trust team. Working alongside a Trust Officer, you will play an important role in ensuring trust portfolios are administered accurately, efficiently and in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.

08:00 – 16:15, Monday to Friday
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Administer new and existing trust client files across an allocated portfolio.
- Maintain accurate trust records, client details and trust activity.
- Ensure trust files remain compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Draft trustee resolutions, minutes and other trust-related documentation.
- Prepare and circulate meeting packs and coordinate trustee meetings.
- Track and follow up on outstanding actions and deadlines.
- Liaise professionally with clients, business introducers, the Master of the High Court, SARS, accountants and tax practitioners.
- Collate documentation for trust-related submissions to the Master and SARS.
- Arrange trust payments and distributions and assist with trust bank accounts.
- Obtain and file investment reports and support annual trust planning.
- Maintain internal trust systems, databases and processes.
- Deliver accurate, professional and timeous service to high-net-worth clients.
Requirements
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Legal or Secretarial Diploma.
- At least 3 years’ trust administration experience within a legal firm, trust company or similar fiduciary environment.
- Sound practical knowledge of the Trust Property Control Act.
- Working knowledge of FAIS, FICA and KYC requirements is required.
- Experience preparing trustee resolutions, meeting agendas and minutes.
- Strong trust administration, document management and typing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent client liaison skills, with confidence engaging professionally with high-net-worth clients.
- Ability to manage multiple trust files accurately and work effectively under pressure.
- Fluency in English is essential; Afrikaans proficiency will be an advantage.
ADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE
- Law, Trust and Estate Administration qualification.
- Direct experience liaising with the Master of the High Court and SARS on trust matters.
- Experience with trust bank accounts, payments, distributions and investment reporting.
- Experience drafting wills.
