Position Overview
The Quality Engineering Test Architect (QE-TA) is a strategic testing leader responsible for overseeing end-to-end testing governance across projects and production releases.
This role serves as the central point of coordination between Business Analysts, Business Sponsors, testing teams, Scrum teams, and project stakeholders. The QE-TA ensures that testing activities are properly planned, executed, documented, and aligned with release objectives.
The position is responsible for driving testing quality, monitoring execution progress, managing defect health, coordinating test data and environments, and producing the key testing artifacts required to support release-readiness decisions throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Position Overview
The Quality Engineering Test Architect (QE-TA) is a strategic testing leader responsible for overseeing end-to-end testing governance across projects and production releases.
This role serves as the central point of coordination between Business Analysts, Business Sponsors, testing teams, Scrum teams, and project stakeholders. The QE-TA ensures that testing activities are properly planned, executed, documented, and aligned with release objectives.
The position is responsible for driving testing quality, monitoring execution progress, managing defect health, coordinating test data and environments, and producing the key testing artifacts required to support release-readiness decisions throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the Project Scope document in PTS and, when available, the Project Feature document in Confluence to determine whether End-to-End (ETE) testing is required.
- For projects requiring ETE testing:
- Schedule and lead discussions with Business Analysts and Business Sponsors.
- Establish a shared understanding of ETE scenarios.
- Identify all impacted teams early in the project lifecycle.
- Engage testing teams to finalize scenario steps and resolve outstanding questions.
- Target complete ETE scenario approval and resolution of open questions at least one week before UAT / Unified Testing begins.
- Coordinate Testbed (TBED) readiness by ensuring testing teams submit environment requests for UAT1 and UAT2 according to the Release Calendar.
- Drive Test Data Management (TDM) preparation by coordinating or submitting required requests through the designated SharePoint site so test data is available before execution begins.
- Own and distribute the Testing Status communication during Unified Testing.
- For low-risk projects, provide updates before or on the morning of the weekly Project / Scrum of Scrums meeting.
- Increase reporting frequency for medium- and high-risk projects as needed.
- Send timely reminders to testing teams before release execution to ensure:
- User Stories and test scripts are uploaded to the appropriate Zephyr Release Fix Version.
- Zephyr Fix Versions align with the corresponding JIRA Fix Version.
- Non-Zephyr teams create test scripts in Excel and complete the required Testing and Test Exit Report Input documentation.
Candidates must meet one of the following:
- TOGAF Certification
- Successfully pass the Karat Technical Assessment at Technical Lead level in one of the following tracks:
- Java
- Python
- Manual Testing
