Who we are looking forWe are looking for someone who follows directions and instructions precisely and consistently, with strong attention to detail. At the same time, they should constantly look for ways to improve our processes and how we work, offering practical, useful suggestions.You must be disciplined in following established procedures while taking initiative to identify improvements and propose changes before implementing them.As a manager, your primary responsibility is to ensure that everyone on your team completes their assigned tasks and follows established procedures to the letter. This means setting clear expectations, checking that instructions are followed, and addressing deviations promptly.Fluent and confident in English, both spoken and written.Preferably 3+ years of experience in hospitality, including experience in a managerial or supervisory role.Responsible, organized and attentive to detail.Comfortable using computers, basic Excel and different online systems and tools.Confident managing, supporting and motivating a small team.Hands-on and willing to help with cleaning, maintenance or other practical tasks when needed.Positive, communicative and social, with an interest in travel, hospitality and meeting people from around the world.Able to work independently, take initiative and solve problems as they arise.The roleAs Hostel / Hotel Manager, you are responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of the property. Your responsibilities include:Managing and overseeing a small on-site team of 1–3 people.Working in the hostel reception and assisting guests when needed.Planning staff schedules and coordinating daily tasks.Overseeing daily operations, supplies, linen orders and general organization.Ensuring that rooms and common areas meet our cleanliness and quality standards.Assisting with cleaning when needed.Handling minor maintenance and practical issues.Communicating and coordinating with our online reception and remote team.The position is approximately 40–50 hours per week, working in shifts during the hostel's operating hours, with 1–2 days off per week. As manager, you have flexibility to organize your own schedule according to the needs of the property.About usWe are a growing hospitality company operating hostels in central Stockholm, with the ambition to build an international hostel group characterized by Scandinavian design and the Nomad concept.Our organization combines an on-site team with an online team and online reception. For the right person, there are excellent opportunities to grow with the company and take on greater responsibility as we expand.
