Responsibilities:

Process high-volume weekly payroll for a large hourly and tipped workforce across multiple legal entities and states.
Lead, coach, and oversee the payroll team, setting priorities and holding the team accountable.
Assess the current payroll department, build an improvement roadmap, and put controls in place.
Manage tip pooling, tip reporting, and the reconciliation of tip distributions to payroll.
Ensure compliance with state and federal wage and hour laws, including final pay deadlines, overtime, and garnishments.
Oversee payroll tax administration and year-end W-2 processing.
Partner with Finance on general ledger reconciliations and labor reporting.
Work with location managers to ensure accurate and timely payroll submissions.

Requirements

Requirements:

8+ years of progressive payroll experience, including managing a payroll function.
Experience processing weekly, multi-entity, multi-state payroll for 600+ employees.
Strong knowledge of wage and hour compliance, payroll tax administration, and year-end reporting.
Advanced Excel skills, including reconciling large data sets.
A self-starter who can assess a department, set priorities, and drive improvements independently.
Restaurant, hospitality, or tipped workforce payroll experience is a plus.
Hands-on iSolved experience is a plus.
