About the FSTM

Your role

  • Clinical care within inpatient and outpatient care at the Neurology Department of the
    Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg
  • Recruitment of patients for the cohort study of the National Centre of Excellence in Research on Parkinson's disease (NCER-PD)
  • Setup and optimisation of workflows for patient recruitment
  • Active participation in clinical studies for improved diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases
  • Execution of scientific projects with national and international collaboration partners on research projects
  • Perform clinical testing and neurological examinations
  • Apply tests for assessing functions in different neurological disorders
  • Teach students about clinical and research aspects of neurodegenerative disorders
  • Present at public events for information of lay public or medical professionals (www.parkinsonnet.lu)
  • Present research results at national and international scientific meetings
  • Write and contribute to scientific publications and research grant applications

Your profile

  • Medical degree (MD) recognized in Luxembourg and interest in specialisation training in Neurology
  • Interest in clinical research on neurodegeneration
  • Independent, highly motivated and committed
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively within multidisciplinary and international teams
  • Fluent spoken and written French and/or German, proficiency in English, and willingness to generally improve fluency in languages
  • Good computer skills for standard software (Excel, Word, etc.)
