Assistant Manager - Taxation

1.     Organisation Development (OD)

a.     Ensure compliance with taxation, statutory, and company policies.

b.     Drive timely closure of audits, assessments, and compliance-related activities.

c.      Build team capability through knowledge sharing, guidance, and performance management.

d.     Coordinate with internal stakeholders, auditors, and government authorities to resolve issues effectively.

e.     Ensure timely reporting, reconciliations, compliance tracking, and process adherence.

f.       Continuously improve taxation processes and strengthen internal controls.

2.     Financial Closing & MIS Reporting

a.     Ensure that Tax, Legal and Statutory compliances are adhered to in the course of doing business. Review and ensure statutory compliance regarding Taxations, attend Assessment proceedings, reconciliation of returns with GL’s etc.

3.     Statutory, Tax & Legal Compliance

a.     To coordinate with internal and external auditors, Govt authorities etc. for audits/ assessments. (along with Taxation). Work along with internal audit team to ensure closure of audit issues, review annual audit program

b.     To handle expense management areas impacting GST especially ITC ailment w.r.t URD and Non URD transactions, streamline the processes for taking ITC and build control mechanism. (along with Taxation)

c.      To carry out review of statutory compliances for all locations. (along with Taxation)

d.     To reply SCN’s, prepare appeals and appear for PH including representations before authorities/Associations. (along with Taxation)

e.     Any other task assigned by the reporting manager

Requirements

Inter CA passed

Experience in Construction company of 5 years+
