About the Role

We are looking for a Purchase Executive to support day-to-day procurement activities, including local purchasing, vendor coordination, purchase orders, transportation arrangements, bill processing, material follow-ups and procurement-related reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle purchase enquiries and prepare comparison statements for finished goods and wire materials.
  
• Coordinate with vendors for quotations, order placement, deliveries and pending orders.
  
• Prepare local Purchase Orders (POs) and receipt challans.
  
• Coordinate vehicle and transportation arrangements for material dispatches.
  
• Support procurement activities for assigned projects and special requirements.
  
• Follow up and resolve vendor issues relating to quality, quantity, shortages and delayed deliveries.
  
• Coordinate with Stores and Accounts regarding material issues, vendor payments, transporter payments and debit notes.
  
• Process vendor, transporter and location-related bills.
  
• Prepare FedEx Air Way Bills for samples and import material pickups.
  
• Prepare pending Purchase Order and invoice-booking reports.
  
• Handle E-Way Bills, maintenance POs, factory POs and import-related enquiries as required.
  
• Maintain proper procurement records and support reporting and ageing control.
  
• Perform other purchase-related responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager.
  

Skills & Competencies

• Good vendor management and follow-up skills.
  
• Knowledge of Purchase Orders and bill processing.
  
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
  
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel, email and ERP systems.
  
• Basic understanding of E-Way Bills, transportation and import documentation.
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines.
  
• Good negotiation and follow-up skills would be an advantage.
  

Qualification & Experience

• Full-time Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related specialization.
  
• Minimum 1 year of experience in procurement/purchase activities.
  
• Candidates with experience in Hardware Manufacturing, Engineering or Construction organizations will be preferred.
  
• Practical exposure to vendor coordination, procurement documentation and local purchasing is desirable.
