About Us

Novastar Kids Co provides private educational services to children ages six weeks to fourteen years, including child care, preschool, kindergarten, elementary through secondary education, summer camps, enrichment classes, and after-school programs. The foundation of our service is the continuity of care and education.

Our unique educational program is focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) curriculum and World Languages fluency. Open Positions

We have multiple classroom openings across age groups and shifts. Each role shares the same core responsibilities and requirements — the position assigned will reflect your experience, the classroom's age group, and your availability.

Classroom / Position - Role - Shift

Younger Toddler (TD 1) Lead Teacher 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Toddler 12–24 Months (TD 2) Lead Teacher 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Toddler 24–36 Months (TD 3) Lead Teacher 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Early Preschool (PS 1) Lead Teacher 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Preschool (PS 2) Lead Teacher 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Preschool (PS 3 – Opening Soon) Lead Teacher 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Prekindergarten 1 Teacher Assistant 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Prekindergarten 2 Lead Teacher 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Floater 1 – Infant / Toddler Floater 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Floater 2 – EP / PS / PreK Floater 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

About the Role

We're looking for caring, energetic educators to join our team. Whether you're stepping in as a Lead Teacher, Teacher Assistant, or Floater, you'll help support young children's growth by creating a safe, fun, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. You'll plan hands-on activities, provide daily care, and partner with families to help children reach important milestones.

Floater positions support classrooms across multiple age groups (Infant/Toddler or Preschool/PreK) and require flexibility and adaptability.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and monitor developmentally appropriate curriculum including weekly themes and lesson plans.
  • Facilitate group instructional activities that support each child's growth and development.
  • Provide a safe, responsive, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment with age-appropriate materials.
  • Oversee daily classroom operations including attendance, student discipline, and health/safety protocols.
  • Tend to children's personal care needs including diapering, toileting assistance, and feeding as applicable to the assigned age group.
  • Supervise children on the playground and handle emergencies professionally.
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • (Floater roles) Transition flexibly between assigned classrooms and age groups to maintain ratio and provide continuity of care.

Requirements

  • Colorado Shines PDIS 3.0 Level 2 required.
  • 2+ years of preschool or early childhood teaching experience.
  • Patient, nurturing, and creative personality.
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years.
  • Ability to implement behavior modification techniques.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience working with diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.
