Role Summary:

We're looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer with hands-on RF expertise to secure and stress-test wireless and radio-frequency communication links — including drone/UAS command-and-control (C2) channels, SDR-based systems, and cellular protocol stacks. You'll work across signal analysis, protocol-level security testing, and link hardening for platforms used in defence and critical-infrastructure contexts.

NOTE

This is an implementation-focused engineering role (not pure research) — you'll be expected to build test rigs, run real attacks against RF links in a lab environment, and deliver hardening recommendations that get shipped.

Requirements

Key Responsibiliies:

●     Perform security assessments of RF communication links, including drone/UAS C2 channels and GCS (ground control station) links

●     Build and operate SDR-based test setups (HackRF, USRP, RTL-SDR) using GNU Radio for signal capture, analysis, and attack simulation

●     Analyze and test cellular protocol stacks (GSM/LTE/5G) for vulnerabilities, including work with tools such as OsmocomBB / gr-gsm

●     Evaluate and implement RF link hardening measures — frequency hopping schemes, jamming/spoofing detection, key exchange protocols

●     Conduct signal processing and decoding work (e.g., Viterbi decoding) to support protocol-level analysis

●     Perform red-team / adversarial testing against wireless and RF systems, and document findings with clear remediation guidance

●     Write scripts and tooling in Python (with DSP libraries such as NumPy/SciPy) to automate testing and analysis workflows

●     Collaborate with drone platform and embedded teams (DJI, ArduPilot, PX4) on OTA update security and platform hardening

●     Produce technical documentation suitable for defence customers and internal engineering review

Requirement:

●     3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, RF/wireless security, or signal processing engineering

●     Hands-on experience with SDR hardware (HackRF, USRP, or RTL-SDR) and GNU Radio

●     Working knowledge of GSM/LTE/5G protocol stacks and associated security weaknesses

●     Practical RF signal analysis skills — capture, decode, and interpret radio signals

●     Proficiency in Python for scripting and analysis; familiarity with DSP libraries (NumPy, SciPy) a strong plus

●     Understanding of frequency hopping schemes and jamming/spoofing detection techniques

●     Experience with, or strong conceptual grounding in, red team / adversarial security testing methodology

Good to Have:

●     Exposure to drone/UAS platforms (DJI, ArduPilot, PX4) or ground control software (QGroundControl, Mission Planner)

●     Familiarity with key exchange protocols and C2 link security/hardening

●     Background in SIGINT/COMINT concepts

●     Exposure to defence procurement or DRDO/MoD project environments

●     C/C++ in addition to Python

Benefits

What We Offer:

●     A small, high-context engineering team where individual contributions are highly visible

●     Opportunity to work across the full stack — RF, embedded, and protocol-level security
