Position: Statutory Compliance Executive

Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Statutory Compliance Executive who can independently manage end-to-end labour law and statutory compliances, including PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, Shops & Establishment, Factory Act/Factory compliance, statutory registers, challans, returns and labour department requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Manage monthly PF & ESIC compliance, including employee data, contributions, ECR/returns, challans and reconciliation.

Handle Professional Tax (PT) and Labour Welfare Fund (LWF) registrations, deductions, challans and periodic returns wherever applicable.

Manage Shops & Establishment registration, amendments, renewals and related compliance.

Handle Factory Act / factory-related statutory compliance, licences, renewals, registers, notices and records wherever applicable.

Maintain all required statutory registers, records, notices and compliance documentation.

Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual statutory returns as applicable.

Ensure timely generation, payment and maintenance of statutory challans and filing acknowledgements.

Coordinate with payroll/accounts for accurate salary, PF, ESIC, PT, LWF and other statutory deductions.

Ensure compliance with minimum wages, working hours, overtime, leave, wages and other applicable labour provisions.

Handle labour department inspections, notices, queries and audits and coordinate for timely responses.

Maintain a compliance calendar and ensure that no statutory deadline is missed.

Conduct regular compliance audits and reconciliations and identify gaps or risks.

Maintain proper records for employee joining, exit, attendance, wages, registers and statutory documentation.

Handle contract labour compliance/CLRA-related documentation wherever applicable.

Keep track of changes in labour laws, notifications, rules and statutory requirements and ensure implementation.

Prepare compliance reports for management and maintain complete audit-ready documentation.
Required Skills
-
Strong practical knowledge of PF, ESIC, PT, LWF and labour law compliances.

Hands-on experience with EPFO and ESIC portals.

Good understanding of Factory Act, Shops & Establishment Act and statutory registers.

Strong knowledge of challans, returns, filings, reconciliations and compliance documentation.

Good knowledge of payroll and statutory deductions.
-
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.

Ability to independently manage compliance deadlines and documentation.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Practical working knowledge is mandatory; candidates with only theoretical knowledge are not preferred.
Preferred Candidate
Candidate should be someone who can independently handle end-to-end statutory compliance, from registration and employee data to monthly challans, returns, registers, audits and inspections, with minimal supervision.
