This is a dedicated, semi-local role that will get you home every other day!
Drivers operate semi‑local routes throughout IN, TN, PA, WV, NC, VA, AL, KY, MI, OH, NY, and Ontario, Canada.

Average Annual Pay: $90,000+
Experience Required: Minimum 3 months CDL‑A
Bonus: $10,000 (standard DCS bonus rules apply)
Miles/Week: ~2,300
Pay: $0.69 – $0.71 per mile
Home Time: Home every other day

Shift Details:

• Schedule: Sunday–Friday
  
• Start Times: 20:00–03:00
  
• Shift Length: 11–12 hours
  
• Home Time: Home every other day (typically Tuesday & Thursday)
  
• Back by Saturday morning (no later than 04:00)
  
• Night‑shift operation
  

Additional Pay:

• Driver‑assist unload: $60 per stop
  
• Receiver unload (no‑touch live unload): $30 per stop
  

Position Details:

• Pick up pre-loaded trailers containing batteries and cells from the Interstate Battery DC.
  
• Deliver to various distribution centers across the operating area.
  
• Reload trailers with battery cores for return to the DC.
  
• Weekly routes vary — flexibility required.
  
• Freight mix includes touch and no‑touch deliveries.
  
• 50% driver‑assist using an electric pallet jack (tailgating freight).
  
• No‑touch stops are live unloaded by the customer.
  
• Ensure load security after each stop.
  
• Complete all delivery and return paperwork to customer standards.
  
• Drivers must scale loads.
  
• Safety and on‑time service are top priorities.
  
• May assist other DCS or Inter-modal accounts if Interstate volume is low.
  

Requirements

You must have a valid CDL A license in Ohio and at least 3 months of verifiable CDL-A tractor-trailer experience.
You must have a relatively clean driving record and personal background.
Failed Drug/Alcohol Test: Must have 1 year of safe driving since completing an SAP program
