Class 3 Hydrovac Operator

Job summary:

As a Hydrovac Operator you are responsible for safely operating hydrovac equipment, completing excavation and utility support services, maintaining equipment, and following all safety and regulatory requirements. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and the ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment.


Job duties and responsibilities:

• Provide hydrovac services in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.
  
• Operate, care for, and maintain equipment to company standards.
  
• Complete daily inspections and immediately report or correct any identified defects.
  
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logs as required by legislation.
  
• Ensure proper and legal load securement practices are followed.
  
• Follow all company policies, operating procedures, and safety requirements, including participation in safety meetings.
  
• Represent the organization professionally by operating vehicles and equipment safely, courteously, and responsibly.
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Class 3 Driver’s License.
  
• Experience assisting with or operating hydrovac, vacuum excavation, or CCTV inspection equipment.
  
• CSTS, First Aid, Confined Space, and TDG certifications are considered assets.
  
• Flexible schedule to meet operational requirements.
  
• Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
  
• Willingness and ability to travel or work out of town when required.
  
• Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment testing.
  
• Good physical condition and ability to perform the duties of the position.
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
