Structural Engineer

A company with a reputation that goes back over 50 years is looking to add a Structural Engineer to their Chicago office!

Responsibilities:

• Project oversight (setting priorities/developing objectives, project financial management as well as hands-on involvement in the design process)
  
• The ability to serve as a technical resource for less experienced engineers/designers
  
• Design/analyze structural systems for a variety of buildings and structural projects
  
• Coordinate between multiple disciplines and attend project coordination meetings
  
• Develop structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
  
• Contribute to QA/QC processes
  
• Mentor/train junior staff
  

Requirements:

• Master's degree in civil engineering with a structural focus
  
• 6+ years of professional experience in structural design of buildings
  
• Experience in leading the technical design of structural projects
  
• Project management experience preferred
  
• SE professional registration
  
• Working knowledge of Revit
  

Salary is commensurate with experience.
