Aged Careworker / Healthcare Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and daily assistance to elderly residents/clients.
  

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and personal hygiene.
  

• Support clients with mobility, walking, transfers and mobility aids.
  

• Prepare and assist with meals according to dietary requirements.
  

• Administer or assist with medication as directed by qualified healthcare professionals.
  

• Monitor and report changes in the client's physical, emotional or behavioural condition.
  

• Maintain accurate records of care provided.
  

• Report concerns to supervisors and healthcare professionals.
  

• Provide compassionate, person-centred care according to employer and New Zealand healthcare standards.
  

• Work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
  

Requirements

• Age: 18–25 years
  

• Gender: Any
  

• Experience: 2–5 years
  

• Qualification: Previous Aged Care / Healthcare experience
  

• Specific Experience: Aged Careworker / Healthcare Assistant experience required
  

• English: Required
  

• Computer Literacy: Not required
  

• Key Skills: Compassionate attitude, attention to detail and ability to provide quality elderly care.
