The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Deloitte Operations for an engagement with one of our clients.

The Workflow & Orchestration program is a high-visibility, multi-year global transformation initiative within Markets & Securities Services Operations. The program is dedicated to migrating legacy, manual data processes into a highly automated, modernized centralized orchestration framework.

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution,
and delivery of this critical transformation portfolio. You will orchestrate cross functional teams. of business analysts, data engineers, and operations specialists. Your focus will be on driving project milestones, managing budgets, mitigating delivery risks, and ensuring the seamless implementation of the Target Operating Model (TOM) across global asset classes on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Project Execution: Define, structure, and execute the comprehensive project plan for the data orchestration roll-out. Own the delivery lifecycle from initiation and resource planning through to deployment and project closure.
  
• Governance & Milestone Management: Establish robust project governance structures. Monitor progress against critical path milestones, manage dependencies across intersecting bank programs, and report delivery health to steering committees and senior leadership.
  
• Risk, Issue & Dependency Management: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues (RAID log management). Resolve complex bottlenecks across technical and operational business boundaries to ensure uninterrupted project momentum.
  
• Financial & Resource Management: Manage the project budget, tracking actual spend against forecasts. Optimize global resource allocations across multiple delivery pods to ensure maximum productivity and cost-effective transformation.
  
• Stakeholder Coordination & Alignment: Serve as the central point of contact for global operations executives, technology delivery heads, and data governance leads. Navigate the bank’s matrixed environment to ensure unified alignment on project timelines and deliverables.
  
• Business Readiness & Deployment: Oversee the operational readiness, cutover tracking, and change management strategies required to decommission legacy workflows and smoothly transition global teams to the new orchestrated framework.
  

Experience & Skills Required

• Project Management Expertise: Minimum of 8 years of formal Project Management experience within an Investment Banking or Global Markets environment, with a proven track record of successfully steering large-scale operational transformation, system migrations, or automation initiatives.
  
• Methodology & Certifications: Mastery of project management methodologies, with practical experience blending Agile/Scrum execution with traditional Waterfall governance (Hybrid delivery). Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile Project Management (AgilePM) is highly desirable.
  
• Transformation & Leadership: Strong commercial acumen and experience using structured change management frameworks. Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills to drive global, culturally diverse teams.
  

Domain & Data Awareness:

• Solid understanding of the operational complexities within Markets & Securities Services (MSS) or Traded Risk.
  
• Strong conceptual familiarity with data infrastructure delivery, including workflow/orchestration engines, data pipeline modernizations, and cloud/on-premises data migration projects.
