We are looking for a Drafter to prepare structural and small stormwater drawings for residential construction projects using standardized templates and drafting software. The ideal candidate for this role should be skilled in producing clear, accurate technical drawings that support construction documentation while following established drafting standards and templates. This role is critical for ensuring residential project drawings are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in a format ready for construction and approval processes.



What You’ll Do
You’ll be the kind of person who:

• Complete accurate timesheets using Total Synergy (Our project management software)
  
• Navigate our filing system and the various components of maintaining or adhering to our documenting system.
  
• Catalogue, prepare and organise drafting detail libraries in AutoCAD LT as required.
  
• Create & recognise opportunity for autonomy during the drafting process/cycle.
  
• Prepare structural drafting drawings for typical residential construction projects.
  
• Produce small stormwater drainage drawings in line with project requirements.
  
• Draft drawings using AutoCAD LT in accordance with established standard templates and formatting guidelines.
  
• Review project specifications and briefs to accurately translate design intent into technical drawings.
  
• Update and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers or project stakeholders.
  
• Maintain consistency and accuracy across drawing sets, including annotations, dimensions, and labelling.
  
• Organize and manage drafting files and drawing revisions in accordance with established naming and filing conventions.
  
• Coordinate with relevant team members to ensure drawings meet project timelines and requirements.
  
• Ensure completed drawings meet quality and accuracy standards prior to submission.
  

Requirements

What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who:

• Bachelor’s degree or vocational diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
  
• 3–5 years of experience in structural and small stormwater drafting, particularly for residential projects, or related experience.
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD LT.
  
• Familiarity with drafting to standardized templates and formatting guidelines.
  
• Solid understanding of basic structural drafting principles for residential-scale projects.
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawing production.
  
• Good organizational skills for managing multiple drawing sets and revisions.
  
• Effective written communication skills for coordinating drawing feedback and revisions.
  
• Experience working on Australian residential construction projects is essential.
