Business Analyst – Cybersecurity, BRD/FRD Documentation & Process Improvement

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite Working Hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM MST

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong business analysis, process improvement, and stakeholder management skills. The ideal candidate will work closely with business, cybersecurity, operations, and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze processes, support solution delivery, and drive successful business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Business Engagement & Planning

• Establish trusted relationships with business stakeholders.
  

• Facilitate workshops to elicit business needs, objectives, and challenges.
  

• Support strategic planning, demand intake, and initiative prioritization.
  

• Develop business cases and value realization frameworks.
  

Business Analysis

• Analyze current business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  

• Document current-state and future-state business processes.
  

• Conduct gap analysis, risk assessments, and feasibility assessments.
  

• Define business requirements, success criteria, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  

Solution Development

• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure business objectives are understood.
  

• Translate business requirements into user stories and functional requirements.
  

• Validate proposed solutions against business expectations.
  

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  

Project Delivery

• Track requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  

• Support change management, training, and business readiness activities.
  

• Ensure delivered solutions align with business goals and expected outcomes.
  

• Assist with post-implementation reviews and benefits realization.
  

Required Skills

• Strong Business Analysis experience.
  

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, controls, frameworks, and operational practices.
  

• Ability to act as a liaison between business, cybersecurity, operations, and technical teams.
  

• Experience analyzing business and technical requirements and translating them into actionable outcomes.
  

• Expertise in developing and maintaining technical and operational documentation.
  

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills.
  

• Create and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and User Stories.
  

• Analyze and document current-state and future-state business processes.
  

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar analytics and reporting tools.
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project environments.
  

• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and ServiceNow.
  

Top 3 Must-Have Skills
