Medication Aide

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a dependable and compassionate Medication Aide to work at an assisted living facility in Jamestown, NY. The Medication Aide will assist residents with their daily medication needs while providing friendly, respectful, and attentive care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medications according to established procedures and facility policies.
  
• Administer and/or assist with medications as permitted by New York State regulations and facility guidelines.
  
• Accurately document medication administration and maintain required records.
  
• Observe residents for changes in condition and report concerns to the appropriate nursing or supervisory staff.
  
• Provide assistance with daily living activities as needed.
  
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
  
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with residents, families, coworkers, and facility staff.
  
• Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medication Aide, Medication Technician, CNA, PCA, or in a similar healthcare/caregiving role preferred.
  
• Medication administration experience preferred.
  
• Must be dependable, responsible, and compassionate.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain accurate documentation.
  
• Any required New York State certification or training must be current and in good standing.
