Role Summary

The Mid-Level Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a key driver of our B2B growth, responsible for identifying and engaging high-value prospects within the media and publishing landscape. This full-time, hybrid role focuses on bridging the gap between marketing interest and closed deals by securing high-quality discovery calls for the sales team. Success is measured by the volume and quality of the sales pipeline generated through persistent, multi-channel outbound outreach.

Work Setup & Collaboration

  • Hybrid Model: Based in London with a requirement of 2–3 days per week in the office to foster team culture and real-time coaching.
  • High Autonomy: Expected to manage your own daily schedule and outreach cadence while aligning with broader regional sales strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with Account Executives (AEs) to ensure seamless handoffs and with Marketing to refine lead-generation messaging.
  • Process-Oriented: Requires disciplined use of CRM tools and adherence to established sales sequences to ensure data integrity and scalable growth.

What You'll Do

  • Research and identify target accounts and key decision-makers across B2B companies to build a robust prospecting database.
  • Execute multi-channel outbound campaigns using email, LinkedIn, and phone calls to initiate meaningful business conversations.
  • Qualify inbound leads quickly to assess fit and urgency before escalating to the Account Executive team.
  • Schedule and coordinate discovery calls between qualified prospects and Account Executives to build a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Maintain precise CRM data to ensure accurate forecasting, lead tracking, and pipeline visibility for the leadership team.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to provide feedback on lead quality and contribute to the development of effective sales messaging.
  • Own the early-stage funnel by identifying bottlenecks in the outreach process and suggesting improvements to increase conversion.
  • Participate in sales sprints and training sessions to sharpen negotiation, objection-handling, and prospecting skills.

Success Indicators

  • Consistently achieve 100% of monthly and quarterly qualified meeting targets.
  • Maintain a conversion rate of ≥[X]% from booked discovery calls to accepted sales opportunities.
  • Ensure 100% CRM hygiene, with all activities, notes, and lead statuses updated daily.
  • Deliver high-volume activity aligned with weekly benchmarks for calls, emails, and social touches.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in an SDR or BDR role with a proven track record of quota attainment.
  • Experience in B2B sales, demonstrating a clear understanding of the professional buyer’s journey.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills, with the confidence to conduct cold calls and handle objections effectively.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage high-volume prospecting workflows.
  • Strong written communication for crafting personalized, high-conversion outreach sequences and professional follow-ups.
  • Ability to commute to London 2–3 days per week for in-person collaboration and team sessions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or sales engagement platforms like Outreach or Salesloft.
  • Previous exposure to the Media & Publishing industry or a fast-paced SaaS environment.
  • Knowledge of account-based marketing (ABM) principles and targeted prospecting techniques.
