Data Analyst / Data Governance & Knowledge Management Consultant

DLK is looking for a Data Analyst / Data Governance & Knowledge Management Consultant to help drive enterprise‑level governance and knowledge management initiatives. This is a chance to shape how data is managed, governed, and shared across a complex organisation.

What You’ll Do

• Lead requirements gathering, stakeholder consultations, and governance workshops.
  
• Analyse existing data policies, frameworks, and standards — identify gaps and recommend improvements.
  
• Develop and implement Data Governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating models.
  
• Establish governance structures: roles, responsibilities, committees, escalation mechanisms.
  
• Create and maintain data taxonomies, dictionaries, metadata repositories, and asset inventories.
  
• Define and implement data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models.
  
• Develop and roll out a Knowledge Management maturity roadmap, improving capture, organisation, and sharing of institutional knowledge.
  
• Produce high‑quality analysis, reports, and governance artefacts for senior stakeholders.
  

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• NQF Level 6+ qualification in Information/Data Management, Computer Science, Business Analysis, or related field.
  
• 3+ years’ experience in Data Governance, Data Analysis, Information Management, or Knowledge Management.
  
• Proven experience developing and implementing Data Governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  
• Hands‑on with data dictionaries, taxonomies, metadata, and asset inventories.
  
• Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and documentation skills.
  
• Experience working across both business and technical stakeholder groups.
