LT Selection is recruiting for an established creative education and training provider seeking an educator to lead and develop personal development learning for young people aged 16–19.

This role combines curriculum leadership with approximately 12–14 hours of teaching each week. You will build on an established programme, develop its content and support another tutor, helping learners explore complex issues safely and thoughtfully.

The role

• Lead the design, development and delivery of a relevant, inclusive and appropriately challenging personal development curriculum.
  
• Teach and facilitate respectful discussion on relationships, identity, sexual health, mental health, careers, politics, citizenship, equality, media, religion and ethics, finance and sustainability.
  
• Use learner feedback, research, current affairs and external expertise to develop resources, sequence learning and adapt delivery to different learners.
  
• Lead and develop the programme tutor and oversee resources and delivery for subcontracted study programme provision.
  
• Support the development and delivery of an appropriate PSHE curriculum within associated independent school provision.
  
• Promote safeguarding, professional boundaries and an environment where young people can question, reflect and disagree respectfully.
  

What you will bring

• A relevant degree or professional qualification, plus Level 2 English and maths.
  
• Substantial successful experience of designing and/or delivering education, personal development, PSHE or related learning for young people.
  
• Evidence of engaging learners with complex and sensitive subjects and confidence across a broad range of personal development topics.
  
• Sound educational judgement, inclusive teaching practice and the ambition to lead, create and improve a curriculum.
  

A recognised teaching qualification is highly desirable. Applications are welcome from established curriculum leaders and educators ready to take on wider responsibility. A funded teacher training pathway may be available for suitable professionals entering teaching.

Working arrangements and benefits

The role is based on site in London and cannot be carried out remotely. It involves 28 hours over four days each week for 52 weeks per year. Annual leave is pro rata of 36 days plus UK bank holidays.
