About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester who can independently understand requirements, design comprehensive test coverage, and test web and mobile applications deeply. You'll take ownership of product quality through release validation — thinking beyond predefined test cases to uncover real-world user scenarios, functional risks, and edge cases.

Location: Kolkata/Hyderabad

Key Responsibilities
• Analyze business and technical requirements to understand expected functionality, user flows, dependencies, and potential risks.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test checklists based on requirements.
• Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, Exploratory, and End-to-End Testing.
• Conduct detailed web application testing across major browsers, screen sizes, and operating environments.
• Perform mobile application testing on Android and iOS devices, including different screen sizes, OS versions, orientations, permissions, notifications, interruptions, and network conditions.
• Validate UI behavior, navigation, field-level validations, error messages, workflows, usability, and overall user experience.
• Perform positive, negative, boundary-value, and edge-case testing to uncover defects beyond standard scenarios.
• Perform API testing using Postman to validate requests, responses, status codes, headers, authentication, and service integrations.
• Perform SQL/database validation to verify data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using GitLab, Jira, or similar tools, with clear reproduction steps, expected/actual results, evidence, and severity.
• Perform defect verification, retesting, regression testing, and root-cause analysis in collaboration with developers.
• Validate application releases before deployment and perform production sanity testing after release.
• Perform cross-browser, cross-device, responsive, compatibility, and basic network-condition testing.
• Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, and Business Teams to clarify requirements and resolve quality issues.
• Identify quality risks early and provide practical feedback to improve product quality, usability, and release readiness.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on Manual QA/Testing experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with both Web Application Testing and Mobile Application Testing.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, test planning, test execution, and defect lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of test case design techniques, including positive, negative, boundary-value, exploratory, and risk-based testing.
• Hands-on experience with Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, System, and End-to-End Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Android and iOS application testing.
• Strong experience with browser compatibility, responsive testing, device testing, and cross-platform validation.
• Hands-on API testing experience using Postman or similar tools.
• Good SQL/database validation skills.
• Experience using GitLab, Jira, or similar tools for defect and work-item tracking.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, debugging, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Good to Have
• Experience with BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar cross-browser/device testing platforms.
• Exposure to performance testing using JMeter, k6, or similar tools.
• Basic understanding of security testing concepts.
• Experience testing applications under varying network conditions and device configurations.
• Experience working on SaaS, enterprise, consumer, or workflow-heavy web/mobile applications
