Live-out Housekeeper/Cook req in Islington, £50k gpa, ASAP start

A lovely employer is seeking an experienced Live-out Housekeeper/Cook to join their welcoming family in Islington. 

The household consists of two adults and two young children (boy 5, girl 18 months) living in a modern three bedroom apartment. The little boy is in school and the little girl will be starting nursery soon.

The family are a mix of cultures and particularly enjoy eating a variety of cuisines, the family eats together and the children also enjoy different cuisines, so an interest in cooking would be welcomed.

The role will involve all aspects of housekeeping, including cleaning to a high standard, laundry, ironing, grocery shopping, household provisioning, maintaining an organised and well-run home, and preparing healthy family meals each day. The ideal candidate will be able to work using their own initiative, be discreet and reliable, and become a valued member of the household. 

The family spend time at their home in Spain throughout the year, and the successful candidate will be expected to accompany them for approximately 6–8 weeks annually, usually in trips of around two weeks at a time.

Spanish or Hindi language skills would be an advantage but are by no means essential.

Candidates must have previous experience working as a Housekeeper/Cook within a private household and be equally confident managing housekeeping duties and family cooking.

A driver is not essential; however, a parking space is available if required.

Working Days & Hours: Five days per week, including one half day at the weekend (Saturday or Sunday), working approximately 40–50 hours per week.

The schedule will include two to three mornings each week starting at 7.30/8am, with the remaining days typically starting around 12pm and finishing at 7/8pm.

Salary: In the region of £50k gross per annum, depending on experience.
